This is the gear that I use to capture the images in my blog. I have always been a Canon fanboy and intend to stay so. A while back I worked with a professional wedding photog and he was exclusively Nikon. I wont knock Nikon because they make some really good gear and the D2x that I used was REALLY nice. Its just that I’ve always had Canon, and well, its just comfortable to me. In my opinion if your working with DSLR’s you’re either a Canon guy or a Nikon guy.
So here’s my list:
Canon EOS 7D body
Canon EOS Xsi body
Canon EF 17-40mm f4 L USM
Canon EF 28-135mm IS USM f3.5-5.6
Canon EF 50mm f1.8 Mark 1
Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8 II USM
Tamron 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 – All in one zoom for Xsi to use while traveling and when I don’t want to lug around lens’s.
Canon 580EX II Speedlight
Sigma EF-500 DG Super E-TTL II – (Re-chipped to work with 7D body)
Sigma EF-500 DG Super E-TTL – Second Flash to use as a wireless slave.
2x – Manfotto light stands with umbrellas
Kingston 4GB & 32GB 133x CF cards
Manfrotto 055XBPROB tripod with Manfrotto 498RC2 head.
Wireless remote, UV filters, spare AA rechargeable batteries, Stroboframe Camera/Flash bracket, sync cord, ect, ect..!
All wrapped up in a Kata R-103 backpack.
I use Photoshop CS4 and have a canon printer but get most of my prints from the local processing business Harolds Photo. My mobile device of choice is the iPhone 4 on Verizon Wireless.
